The 2010 Silenus Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is exclusively from estate vineyards and includes a blend of our very best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine was aged for 22 months in 60% new French oak barrels, 10% new American oak barrels and 30% neutral oak barrels.

Blend:
95% Cabernet Sauvignon
3% Petite Verdot
2% Cabernet Franc

Tasting Notes:
The wine has a dark ruby-red color with a lush, inviting nose filled with aromas of toasted vanilla, ripe berries, anise and oak. The aromas carry over to the palate and the wine has rich, dense flavors of baked cherry, cassis, oak and spice. It has a long, warm finish where the fruit flavors eventually evolve into roasted hazelnut and cocoa. This is a dynamic wine that will age extremely well.
