Tasting Notes
Our 2017 Chemist is a unique blend of GSM plus Petite Sirah. It is a full-bodied wine that has an inky, vibrant purple/blue color and offers purity and focus in a rich, layered and balanced wine. Loads of dark berries, mocha, espresso, plum, graphite all open up effortlessly in the glass and leads to a long silky finish.
Vineyards & Winemaking
We blend together grapes from some of the best vineyards throughout Paso Robles to make The Chemist into an elegant yet bold and complex wine. Paso Robles has a greater day-to-night temperature swing than any other appellation in California, distinct microclimates, diverse soils and a long growing season that makes this wine rich and concentrated. The Chemist is aged in French oak barrels, 30% which are new.
